She was born on July 25, 1911 in Utica, NY, where she was a lifelong resident and attended and graduated from schools there.
Her marriage to Victor H. Sornborger took place on September 14, 1936 in Utica. He passed away on December 29, 1999 after 63 loving years together.
Marjorie enjoyed her position as the Director of Medical Records for Faxton Hospital of Utica. She was the first licensed medical record librarian in the State of New York. She was devoted to the Catholic faith and was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, New Hartford.
She is survived by her children, Judith Roach and her husband William of Utica, Paul Sornborger of Wellesley Island, New York, Mary Rego and her husband William of Utica, and Stephen Sornborger of Utica, and she was predeceased by her daughter Katherine Cornell. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeff King, Christopher Roach, Scott and Joyce Cornell, Kevin and Tracie Cornell, and Bruce and Elena Cornell, her son-in-law, Craig Cornell, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
