Lorraine Carper Zacharias, 84, of Leland, formerly of Broadview Hts., OH passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
She was born August 23, 1931 in Cleveland OH to the late Albert and Eunice Carper. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her two sisters, Elizabeth McDaniel and Jo-Ann Meyer. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert (Bob) Zacharias, sons, R. Lee Zacharias (Vicki) of Canton OH, Roland Zacharias (Claudia Ross) of Alpharetta GA, and daughter Laura Buda (Don) of Leland NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren Avery Duran (Ryan) of Pittsburgh PA, Lindsey DeSalvo (Michael) of Mahopac NY, James Buda of Charlotte NC, and great grandson, Leonardo DeSalvo.
She was a secretary for Louis Blue, Irving Berger, Alan Berger and Sheldon Apple over 40 years. She was an active member of the Brooklyn Hts. UCC, serving on many boards, singing in the choir and playing in the bell choir. Family, friends, music and bridge were her passions. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Brooklyn Hts. UCC, 2005 West Schaaf Rd, Cleveland, OH on Friday, April 22, at 6pm with a reception to follow.
