Mr. Cedric B. Page, 53, of Durham, North Carolina departed this life on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was born on May 1, 1963 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Lois Vester Page McElroy and Edward J. Page.

Cedric was a talented man who was extremely kind, young and optimistic. He was a singer, superhero, encourager and, most of all, a great individual with a huge heart. At an early age, Cedric discovered that he was a talented singer and performed at various talent shows until graduating from Ole Main High School in 1981. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army and obtained a rate grade of SP4. Following a period of serving his country, he became a successful chef for Coy's, which was a restaurant staple at that time. He eventually relocated to Durham, NC where he lived for the remainder of his life. While there, he would work in construction and enjoyed painting homes and installing sheetrock. In 2014, Cedric would become an amputee which resulted in him having to learn to walk again. While most people would have given up on life due to this condition, he decided to use his condition as a way to help others that are faced with amputation at the Veterans Hospital in Durham, NC which is where he had his surgery. Cedric spoke openly to patients about the bad days as well as the good days ahead and reassured them that things will get better with time.

He found great joy in helping others and he will be greatly missed.

Cedric leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Lois McElroy of Little rock, AR; father, Edward J. Page of Fresno, CA; sister, Angela Rasheed of Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Edgar Page of Fresno, Butch Bester of Tulsa, OK and Damon Page of Corona, CA; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2200 Willow Street, North Little Rock. Visitation 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock with full military honors.
