(McCrea) Bates. Mrs. Clemence lived in Johnston before moving to Chepachet over 50 years ago. She was the beloved mother of Austin B. Clemence and his wife Karen of Chepachet, Stephen H. Clemence and his wife Reba of Wyoming, Mark B. Clemence and his wife Kathie of Chepachet, Alice G. Stebbings and her late husband Timothy of Ipswich, MA, Rachel C. Young and her husband Dave of Attleboro, MA and Elizabeth A. Donaldson and her husband Bill of Uxbridge, MA. She was the sister of Jennie R. Morrissette of Barrington and the late Malvin I. Bates, Jr, Alice G. Kaye and Grace E. Brown; she was the grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 14. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
