Peggy Sue Odom Largent, 53, of Bardin, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka after battling cancer for many years.
She was born Oct. 4, 1962, in Palatka. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help in any way she could. She loved children and serving as a Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Faye Bohanan Chamberlin; an infant nephew, Andy Bryant; and stepbrother, James Brown.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, Steve Largent of Bardin; her father and step-mother, Bobby and Jeanette Odom of Interlachen; stepson, Anthony Largent of Apopka; stepdaughter, Ann Largent of Apopka; step-granddaughter, Jasmine Largent of Apopka; three sisters, Debby (Mitchell) Douglas of Bardin, Sandy (Patrick) Vinson of Bardin and Lori Odom of San Mateo; two brothers, Robby Odom of Bardin and Jimmy (Wendy) Drew of Keystone Heights; stepsister, Debbie Vogt of Interlachen, and stepbrother, Tommy (Vivian) Brown of Interlachen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 17 at First Church of God in Florahome, John Miles is officiating.
