Ernest served in the U.S. Army for 21 years retiring as Sergeant First Class. After his retirement from the Army, he worked at Beech Aircraft for 21 years and Petro2 for 11 years. He also officiated football, baseball, basketball and volleyball, and coached the U.S. Army softball team, as well as youth football and baseball teams.
e is survived by his wife, Margie, of 59 years; sons, Frank (Beth) Vinson and Michael (Jill) Vinson, daughter Melissa (Dave) Clark, brother, Dennis (Julie) Vinson, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis J. Vinson, a sister and three brothers.
