William A. Sieber
World War II Veteran
William A. Sieber, 74, formerly of North Main Street, Mountaintop, died May 11 at Dorrance Manor, Kingston.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, July 19, 1925, and was the son of the late John and Edith Sodon Sieber. He was a graduate of Fairview High School, Mountaintop and received his associate degree in accounting from East Stroudsburg University. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Sieber had resided in Easton for many years and had been employed for 26 years as a welder in the Cameron department at Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg, NJ, retiring in 1973. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountaintop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Atala Louis Fillman Sieber; granddaughter, Bobbie Lee Wenner and son-in-law, Robert Martin Wenner.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Wenner and Jackie L. Chrin, both of Easton; his son-in-law, James C. Chrin, Easton; granddaughters, Holly Lee Wenner and Alecia M. Chrin; grandson, James C. Chrin; great-grandson, Akil Martin Braswell Jr., all of Easton.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 18, 2000, at noon from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop. The Rev. James A. Wet, assistant pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountaintop, will officiate. Interment will be in Albert Cemetery, Wright Township. Friends may call Thursday morning, 10:30 a.m. until the service time.
