Louise was a communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill and had been a volunteer with Parish Friends at St. Marys. She was an avid runner and ran in the New York City Marathon, as well as the Dutchess County Marathon. She was the former treasurer of the Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club. She loved classical music and played and taught piano. She was also fluent in French and English.
On September 5, 1953 in Syracuse, NY, she married Charles T. Martinez. Mr. Martinez survives at home in Fishkill. Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by three sons, Phillipe Martinez of Mansfield, WA, Andre Martinez and his wife, Cathy, of New Bedford, New Hampshire and Jose Martinez and his wife, Annemarie, of Bethlehem, CT; two daughters, Santia Hotaling and her husband, Bruce, of Fishkill and Dominique Angelucci and her husband, Robert of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Theresa and Cecile and a brother, Jean-Marc; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Kendra, Joseph, Emily, Rebecca, Kyle, Robert, Bruce and Carly. She was predeceased by a sister, Denise.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 1 4 p.m. at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 8th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Mother of the Church, followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
