Genoa Retirement Village. She was born April 7, 1931, in Bethesda, Ohio, to
Thomas and Melvina Kruse Good. On August 30, 1947, in Covington, Kentucky, she
married Ross E. Burdge, who passed away December 30, 2002. Betty was a
homemaker, who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She loved to visit with her friends and family and enjoyed
cooking and shopping.
Surviving Betty are her children, Melody L. Jan Dufendock, Sherry B. Randy
Schling, Brenda K. John Gillis, Thomas E. Brenda Burdge, Deb A. Keith Riffle,
Tami L. Jeff Andrews, Ross T. Burdge and Patrick S. Burdge; 17 grandchildren and
25½ great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Shirley Freimark, and
extra special brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Luette Burdge. Betty was
preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Clark,
and sister, Carol.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m.,
Friday, February 4, 2011, in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. Memorials for
Betty may be directed to the Genoa Retirement Village, 300 Cherry St., Genoa, OH
43430. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the
family with arrangements.
