Officer George Moore, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD)-Communications & Records retired in February 1991, passed away on August 17, 2014. While no longer a member of the AORP, we wanted you to be aware of his passing.

Officer Moore was appointed to the MPD on May 2, 1966 and retired on February 23, 1991.

Peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Resident of Hyattsville, Maryland. Husband of the late Josephine L. and Joyce C. Moore; father of George L., Patress M. and Sharone R. Moore, Dewitt and Darrell Osborne and the late Crystal A. Nelson; son of the late Lillian and George Moore, Jr. Also survived by two sisters, one brother, 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m., Service 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, at Second New Saint Paul Baptist Church, 2400 Franklin St., NE, Washington, DC. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Services by J.B. JENKINS, INC.
