Keith was born on January 25, 1932, in Cashion Oklahoma to William Thomas and Reda Pearl Farrell. He was one of nine children.
Keith joined the army in 1949, at 17 years old, with his uncle Lewis and his brother Bill.
He was stationed in Korea and Japan where he served as a cook on the front lines in the Korean War.
He was awarded the army occupation medal for his time in Japan, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Korean Service Medal with one bronze campaign star, and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1955.
He moved to Odessa in 1962 and married Fredia Farrell in 1963.
They have been married for 51 years and have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
Keith worked at the petrochemical plant in Odessa for 32 years.
He was the world's greatest Wahoo player and loved to garden and fish and that is how he spent the majority of his free time. He was one hell of a good man.
