During your own personal research has anyone else come across information leading them to believe that Hesekiah 'Dolph' Joseph is actually 2 different people, Hesekiah Joseph and Adolphus 'Dolph' Joseph? I have, and I want to know what other descendants think, believe, and have found during their own personal research. Below is a list of my reasons that makes me believe that Hesekiah Joseph and Adolphus 'Dolph' Joseph are 2 different people and not the same person. I personally would like to know the truth because Olivia 'Olive' (Hall) Joseph is my great-great grandmother. Her daughter Rosetta 'Rosa' (Joseph) Moon is my great grandmother.
1)- 1880 and 1900 Census for Olive (Hall) Joseph list her as widowed but she had at least 2 children between 1880-1900. Seems to imply that her 1st husband died before the 1880 census, she remarried, had at least 2 more children, and her 2nd husband died before the 1900 census.
2)- Information on documents from children born after the 1880 census do not list their father as Hesekiah but documents from children born before the 1880 census only list their father as Hesekiah.
