Neva Catherine Clarkson, 53, of Olathe, KS passed away December 17, 2014 at her home. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, December 22, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS 66083 (913) 592-2244. Visitation 10:00 am before the service also at the funeral home. Cremation following services. Neva was born November 11, 1961 in Parsons, KS to John William and Lois Marie (Alexander) Standridge. She grew up in Parsons, KS and graduated from Parsons High School. She then went on to get her Associate’s degree from Labette County Community College. Neva married Gary Allen Clarkson May 24, 1983 in Minot, ND. They lived on Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota and then Vandenberg Air Force Base in California until they moved to Olathe in 2001. She enjoyed being a volunteer at Olathe Medical Center. Neva loved to make stained glass, jewelry and caring for children. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Neva was preceded in death by her father in 2009. She is survived by her husband, of the home; children: Gary Allen Clarkson, II, of Olathe, KS and Stephanie Marie Clarkson, of Shawnee, KS; mother, Lois Standridge-Nibarger and step-father, Dannie, of Gardner, KS; siblings, John W. Standridge, II, of Parsons, KS, Christine M. Pullman, of Spring Hill, KS and James B. Standridge, of Lawrence, KS.
