He was the son of the late John Washington and Lillian Burt Long, andhe was born in Rosie, Arkansas, and had been a Leachville area resident since 1950.
He was a retired farmer, having worked for Wildy Farms for over 40 years. Lloyd was a longtime member of the New Harmony Baptist Church near Manila.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Glenda McCoy Long of Leachville
1 son, Tim Long of Monette
1 daughter and son-in-law; Lisa and Michael Tyler of Lepanto
2 brothers;
Boyce Long of Manila
Otis Long of Lake City
3 sisters;
Linda Starnes of Mississippi
Virginia Collins of Pierce Town, Arkansas
Ruby Cardet of Harrison, Arkansas
He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
Burial was in Leachville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
