Marion N. Mann, age, 94, formerly of Stebner Road, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Franciscan Health Center. Formerly she lived in West Duluth,Piedmont Manor, Mid-Towne II and Garden House Estates. She was born Dec. 28, 1911 in Glencoe, Minn. to Joel and Helga (Langlie) Overvig. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Mann on October 3, 1931 in West Union, Minn and moved to Cromwell, Minn where they farmed until moving to Duluth in 1951. She was a wonderful homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook, bake, knit, sew, crochet, quilt, and crewel. Her hand decorated ornamental eggs are an art that we will cherish forever. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, its Esther Circle and TOPS. For many years, she did day care for four of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth, May, 1990; a grandson, Michael Kaczmark, January, 1964; daughter, Sally Jean Obrokta, Easter Sunday, April, 1982; son-in-law, Andrew Obrokta, November, 1990; sister, Ruth Hanson, March, 1994; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Mann, May, 2002. Marion is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Michael) Kaczmark of Cloquet, three sons, Maurice (Jackie) of Proctor; Paul of Lakeville, Minn.; and Willis (Jackie) of Laurel, MD; grandchildren, Jeannine (James) DeFedericis, Daniel Obrokta, Tammy (Daniel) Karban, Timothy Mann, Thomas (Sherrie) Mann, David Mann, James (Julie) Kaczmark, Eric (Alice) Mann, Michael (Holly) Mann and Kristen Mann; 10 great-grandchildren, Allen, David, Erin, Jason, Kelly, Adam, Bryan, Thomas, Gavin, and Megan; two step great- grandchildren, Dusty and Stephanine; and two step great-great-grandchilden, Starla and Christian; sisters, Hazel Ecklund, Shakopee, Minn.; Blanche Konzak, Osakis, Minn.; Alyce Olson, Sauk Centre, Minn.; brothers, Harold (Harriet) Overvig, Osakis, Minn.; and Orville (Betty) Overvig, Long Prairie, Minn. and many nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones everywhere. A special thanks to the caregivers at Viewcrest Health Center, Mid-Town II, Garden House Estates, Franciscan Health Center and St. Mary's Hospice, who cared for our mother over the past many years. VISITATION: 5-7 PM Monday in Bell Brothers Funeral Home, and continue from 11 AM until the Noon service Tuesday in Salem Lutheran Church, Hermantown, Rev. Cheryl Fleckenstein officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church, St. Mary's Hospice or the American Cancer Society, in memory of Marion Mann, honoring her daughter, Sally Obrokta and daughter-in-law, Sharon Mann.
