Stephen Lee ‘Steve’ Ueltschy, age 66, of Fort Dodge and formerly of Wapello, died Wednesday evening, October 7, 2015 in Wapello. The son of William and Margaret Young Ueltschy, he was born on November 18, 1948 in Fort Dodge. He married Deb Mockerman on May 10, 1987. They later divorced. Steve married Helen ‘Maggie’ Magennis on July 18, 2006 in Fort Dodge.

He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and taught at the Junior High and High School for 33 years at the Mediapolis School District. Steve served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was an active member and Trustee of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. He was a former member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wapello. He was involved in a local community organization, PICA, serving for the betterment of the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
