Bill was a member of New Hope United Brethren Church in Camden, Michigan. He was a career dairy farmer and enjoyed it. He was a herdsman foreman for 17 years at Choates Belly Acres in Liberty Township, Michigan. Bill was a loving father and loved joking around. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Betty L. Preston of Pioneer; five children, Stephanie (Dusty) Boggess of Hillsdale, Michigan, Patrick Preston of Bryan, Ohio, Christina Preston of Jackson, Michigan, Nicole Ruiz of Clark Lake, Michigan, and Ashley Kitchen of Adrian, Michigan; eleven grandchildren; and two sisters, JoAnn (Jeril) Ewbank of Jackson, Michigan and Tena (Joseph) Waters of Rosemount, Minnesota.
Bill was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for Bill will be on Wednesday, February 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the New Hope United Brethren Church in Camden, Michigan with Pastor Travis Ambrose to officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
