Lorraine Helen Cottrell, 87, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Lorraine was born in St. Stephen, NB on May 7, 1929, daughter to Roy and Mae (Lovely) Craig. After high school she attended Holy Rosary Commercial School in St. Stephen, graduating in 1946. On June 7, 1947 she married her love, Howard Cottrell.

In addition to her parents Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband of over 60 years, Howard Cottrell; two sons, Philip Edward Cottrell and Craig Howard Cottrell; a grandson Adam Howard Cottrell and two sisters, Frances Hansen and Gloria McLeod. Surviving are her three children, Dana Cottrell and wife Penny of AZ, Stephen Cottrell and wife Sheila of Baring, and Gail Cottrell of Calais; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Lorraine’s request, a private graveside service will take place in Calais Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
