Richard passed away July 30, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born March 21, 1933, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of David and Ethel Kennedy. He married Shirley and owned and operated several car dealerships in Westport, Connecticut. Richard lived in Mountain Home since 2013, moving from Manalapan, Florida. He enjoyed racing motorcycles and flying his twin engine Cessna. He was a world class fisherman and frequently participated in invitational tournaments.
Richard is survived by his wife, Shirley D. Kennedy of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Elizabeth (Daryll) Kennedy Russell of Southington, CT; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Rebecca Russell one great-grandchild, Aria Marie Russell; his beloved pet, Zac and caregiver and dear friend, Bill Harmon of Mountain Home, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
