Helena Maria Williams age 79 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home. She was born January 12, 1937 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Albert L. and Nora Hensley Williams.
Survivors include one daughter, Tonya Francis of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, James Williams of Marion, Ohio, two sisters, Ola May Conley of Salyersville, Kentucky and Emogene Puckett of Marion, Ohio, one granddaughter, Tosha Montgomery and three great grandsons, Austin Montgomery, Braydon Montgomery and Braxton Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, Helena is preceded in death by four brothers, Edgar Williams, Walter Williams, Lacy Williams and Clayton Williams, and three sisters, Eunice Williams, Irene Penix and Eva Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams & Reed Cemetery at Gifford, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2016 and anytime Thursday prior to funeral services.
Helen was the Great-Great Granddaughter of Thomas Howard (1770-1853) and Frances Howard. The Granddaughter of Joseph W Howard, who was the County Attorney and Circuit Judge for Magoffin County, Kentucky.
