William Wesley Davis passed away at his Yuma home. He was a business owner and veteran of the National Guard.

Life long Yuma resident, William W. Davis (Bill) passed away at home with family in the early morning hours of December 7th, 2016. The son of Wesley A. Davis and Cecil Estabrook Davis, Bill was born in Yuma, November 25th, 1948. He graduated from Kofa High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Principia College. After college, Bill returned to Yuma to take over the family business, Plaza Paint Store. For 46 years Bill treated every customer as a friend. In 1992 after the death of his father he and his wife became the owners of Yuma School of Beauty. He could often be seen driving his 67 Corvette around town. He continually worked to preserve and enhance historic downtown Yuma, by restoring old buildings and serving on the HDRC committee for many years. He also enjoyed sailing and spent many a hot afternoon on Senator's Wash with his Catamaran. He was a lifelong member of the First Church of Christ Science.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn McVey Davis, his daughters Meredith N. Young and Rebecca E. McIntier, son-in-law Jonny R. McIntier, grandchildren Molly and Maggie; son Christopher B. Young, daughter-in-law Stephanie L. Young.
