He retired after 33 years of service as a research chemist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. He also retired as a Lt Colonel after 23 years from the Georgia National Guard where he also served as an officer for the Georgia Military Institute, an officer’s training facility within the Guard.
He was predeceased by Elizabeth Rogers Barnhart, PhD of Lilburn, GA.
Survivors: Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Gary Louis Alexander and wife Donalda Lynn of Ocala, FL and Joseph Richard Alexander and wife KathyLou Joyce of Lilburn, GA.
Preceded in death by brothers Charles Wallace Alexander, Paul Everett Alexander, Fred Gordan Alexander Jr. and sister Cynthia Joyce Brown.

The Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Louis Ralwage Alexander will be held on Saturday, January 28, 3017 at 1:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
