Obituary from the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner newspaper, dated Friday, September 25, 2009, page B-3:

Former Anchorage resident Traci Renee Boschert, 43, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, from natural causes at her home in Homer.

Traci was born July 13, 1966, to Donald R. and Jacqueline A. Boschert in Burien, Wash., the youngest of five kids. She moved with her family to Nenana in 1975. She graduated from Nenana High School in 1984 and went on to complete her bachelor's degree in rural studies from University of Alaska Fairbanks. She was the director of Railbelt Mental Health and Addictions in Nenana from 1997 to 2007, helping many in Nenana and the surrounding communities.

Traci moved to Anchorage in 2008 and worked for the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association as a resource developer. She moved to Homer and was to start as director of the Homer Senior Center on Sept. 14.

Traci enjoyed making jewelry, chatting online with friends, driving, making Christmas cookies and playing computer games.

"Traci was a wonderful daughter, sister and friend to all that knew her. She was totally loved and will be sorely missed. She had a contagious smile and was always quick with a laugh. She was extremely excited to be starting her new job and moving to Homer. Her dream was to have a house by the ocean with apple trees in the front yard. She achieved that dream if only for a few days," wrote the family.

Traci was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline A. Boschert; grandparents, Ken and Lucille Sawby and Thomas and Leontyne Boschert; nieces, Erin and Elise Boschert and Samantha King.

She is survived by her father, Don Boschert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Andie Boschert and Ken and Sandy Boschert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Charles Whitworth and Donna and Russ King; and honorable sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Jimmy Allen; nephews and nieces-in-law, Tony and Andrea Boschert and Dan and Liz Boschert: nieces and nephews-in-law, Carlea and Jason Irwin and Nicole and Justin Clifford; honorable nieces, Anne, Laura and Emily; great-nephews, Judson Clifford and Brody Boschert; great-nieces, Samantha Boschert, Jacqueline Clifford and Bailey Boschert; numerous wonderful friends, and her precious cats, Lily and Bob.

A celebration of Traci's life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Nenana Civic Center in Nenana, with a potluck immediately to follow. Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel
