Morkie was a sweet and lovable Pekingese. He belonged to Jerry Irish, Jr., and upon Irish's death, he was given to David Comstock and John Baumer because of the conditions of the environment where Mr. Irish was living at that time. He enjoyed eating vanilla wafers and also large amounts of cheese. He loved cheese covered everything. One of Morkie's distinct characteristics was that he had only one eye. However, he could use that one eye quite well. He was accustomed to growling if people got to close to his face. That was his way of alerting people to "step away from the Pekingese".
