Rose is the daughter of Sicilian immigrants and was raised in Queens, New York. At the tender age of 14 she was spotted by a friend of her cousin's who stated- at first sight- "That's the girl I'm going to marry". Marvin and Rose were married for over 50 years at the time of his death and had a wonderful life of "Love and laughter" (her words). Rose was a league bowler, avid golfer and active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. After her husband's retirement they moved "to the shore" to enjoy the rest of their days in Tom's River, NJ. Rose was a devout catholic, a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe church and also served on the committee to build the new church that stands today. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin and leaves one son, three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren which brought her "nothing but joy, ever, always". Rose's warm smile, easy laugh and gentle manner were a balm to everyone that knew her. She is missed by all of her family and friends.

I once asked her what was the secret to her having been married so long; "Oh dolly", she said "You have to laugh. Love and laughter through it all."
