Mrs. Dale Reed of Hermon received a telegram Sunday from the Acting Adj General's office informing her that her husband died of wounds November 1st. Lieut. Reed has been with the Ambulance Corps in Italy since May 1942. In Sept 19, 1944 he was commissioned 2nd Lieut. His father, Harry Reed of Hermon buried his wife last week Friday. Dale was the only child. Mrs. Dale Reed has a brother in the service in France and another brother in the Navy, now somewhere in the Pacific. The sympathy of the community is extended to the wife and father in their sorrow.
