The body of Tech Sgt Edgar M. Laddison, who was killed in action near Hattan, France on Jan 13, 1945 will arrive in Canton for burial Monday evening on the 7:34 train.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon with a prayer service at his late home at 1:30 and at the Canton Methodist Church at 2:30 with Rev. Walter S. Dobbie officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Canton's veteran's organizations.
Laddison is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Laddison, Canton Star Route. He was inducted into the armed forces Dec 5, 1942 and received his basic training at Camp Chaffee, Ark. He served at Nashville, Tenn and Campbell, Ky., before arriving overseas Oct 1, 1944.
He was a tank gunner with a tank unit of the 14th Armored Division. He was buried first in France and then in a military cemetery at Densheim, Germany. He was 22 years of age when he was killed.
