Elaine was a member of the San Leandro High School Class of 1979. Beloved wife and mother, devoted daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2003. Elaine lived every day of her life actively involved in family, charity, and faith. She was a tireless volunteer at Warner Avenue Elementary School; an active member of her synagogue, Sha'arei Am; a longstanding advocate for child passenger safety as an executive board member and past president of SafetyBeltSafe, U.S.A.; and a leader of her daughters' Girl Scouts troops. Elaine was an inspiration to everyone who knew or knew of her, and her death leaves a void in the lives of all the people she touched. Elaine earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy and dual Master's Degrees in Social Work and Jewish Communal Service. She was a social worker until 1994, when she became a full-time mother to her adored children. Elaine was survived by her husband. two daughters, mother, stepfather, parents-in-law, sister, brother, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at Hillside Memorial Park.
