JEITLER, HENRY J. Henry "Hank" Jeitler passed away after a brief illness on January 6, 2013 at the age of 93. He was born in Pekin, IL on November 20, 1919. Hank enlisted in the Navy at the age of 21 earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer during World War II. After the war, he married Julie Lewis and moved to San Diego where they raised their two children. Dad finished getting his GED while working in the Navy, then went on to graduate from college with two Masters Degrees. Hank worked as a teacher in San Diego for over 20 years. His love of books lead him to pursue my moms dream of opening Adams Ave. Bookstore. After his wife passed away, he was able to attain his lifetime dream of touring the world. Dad was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife Julie Lewis Jeitler. Hank is survived by his daughter, Sheila Kreysler, his son Dan Jeitler, his grandsons Jason and Issac and three great-grandchildren.
