Lauretta Eleanor Bader Fudge Tutcher

HAMILTON - Lauretta Eleanor Bader Fudge Tutcher died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Valley View Estates Nursing Home in Hamilton.

Lauretta was born May 3, 1922, to Nicolas and Barbara Bader in Taylor, N.D. Her German parents immigrated from Hungary in 1907. Her mother died when Lauretta was young. Her sister, Barbara Bader Iams, took Lauretta into her home. She resided in the Iams home until she graduated from the eighth grade. Lauretta then joined her father in Hamilton.

She married Dick Fudge and they adopted a child, Letha. Following Dick's death, she married Clarence Tutcher, who also preceded her in death.

Lauretta was preceded in death by her two husbands, Dick and Clarence; her daughter Letha; sisters Caroline, Margaret, Barbara, Elizabeth, Helen, Mary and Anna; and brothers Mike and Nick.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Christ Bible Church with Pastor Ed Pomelear officiating. Urn placement will be at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the local Right to Life organization, Christ Bible Church or the Bitterroot Humane Society

Lauretta Bader lived in Taylor, North Dakota throughout her youth, living at her father Nikolaus Bader's household before moving into her sister Barbara Bader Iams' household. Lauretta Bader moved back in with her father Nikolaus Bader in Hamilton, Montana in 1935.

Lauretta Bader married George Fudge and together adopted Letha. He died in 1983.

Lauretta Bader Fudge married Clarence Tutcher.
