Geneva was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Merritt Peele, Sr., and Sally Pearson Peele. She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Nathan Gibson, Jr. She worked in textiles, retiring from Morgan Mills after many years of service. She served as a member of the Gibson Baptist Church and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and canning. Mrs. Gibson was a strong willed and independent lady that truly loved and cherished her time with family and friends.
Also preceding her in death is a daughter, Frances J. May and her husband Walter May; brothers, Howard Peele, Pete Peele, Merritt Peele, Jr., sisters, Jean P. Walters, Dorothy Adams and granddaughter, Barbara Dinsdale.
