Norma Lee Henderson, 86, of Winfield, previously of Atlanta, passed away Nov. 13, 2008, at Winfield Good Samaritan Society.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in for Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Norma was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Atlanta, to Clarence O. and Lydia (Markley) Diller. She spent her childhood in New Salem, Wilmot, Douglass and Atlanta. Norma attended Polo Grade School, Dove Grade School, and Atlanta High School. She later attended Emporia State Teachers College.
She and Marvin E. Henderson married on June 25, 1947, at the First Christian Church parsonage in Winfield. The couple lived and worked on their farm south of Atlanta. Norma taught school at Polo and Prairie View for several years. She also worked at home as a homemaker.
Norma was an active member of the Atlanta Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in the Garden Club and the Progress Club in Atlanta. For many years, Norma reported the Atlanta news in the Winfield Courier.
She was known for her beautiful singing in choirs in Emporia, at her church and at special community events. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, cooking and plate collecting.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Henderson, on Feb. 1, 2000, and a brother, Robert R. Diller, in October 1999.
Survivors include her son, Gregg D. Henderson, Atlanta; her sisters, Jo Ann Heasty, Wellington, and Wilma Jo Adams, and husband, Kenneth, Manhattan; and several nieces and nephews.
