ALLMOND, CHRISTINA E., "Tina" 88 - of Northfield. The Heavenly Host came to receive Tina, as she was affectionately known, "peacefully" on Saturday, March 18, 2006. "Tina" was born on December 30, 1917 to the late Barry Sessions and Marcella Jones in Denver, CO. The family moved to Detroit, MI where she received her formal education and graduated from the local High School where she excelled in English and developed her gift and passion for poetry writing. Tina studied and became a licensed Cosmetologist. She later met and married the late Rev. Roselle T. Allmond. From this union came four children (Tina was predeceased by her son Roselle T. Allmond III and Marcella Rumph); David T. Allmond, Lynda M. Christian and Lorie E. Davenport. The Allmond family moved to McKee City about 40 years ago where they raised their family. She previously resided at Atlantic City Townehouse, Atlantic City (with her husband and their parakeet "Peppy"). When her health began to decline, Tina became an independent resident with her son, David (Yvonne) in Mays Landing. She later became a resident of the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield. Tina worked at Shulton's Perfume Bottling Factory for over 15 years. She retired from Trump Plaza Casino/Hotel (Local 54 H.E.R.E). She also worked for the local school system as a Foster Grandparent. Despite being a wife, mother, grandmother and working full-time along with other responsibilities, Tina enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking bread, rolls, etc. She was the first lady of the New Fellowship Baptist Church in Detroit, MI which was founded by her late husband, Reverend Roselle T. Allmond. She was a member of the Union Baptist Temple Church, Atlantic City, where she sang in the choir. She was an avid reader and writing poetry. She loved and showed love to family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all she loved the Lord and showed it by preaching, teaching, living the Word in Praise, Service, Song and Christian living. She leaves to mourn her fond and cherished memories: one brother, Howard (Virginia) Lipscomb; niece, Cynthia (William) Booker; cousin, Jean Mayo all of Detroit, MI; one son, David T. Allmond (Yvonne) of Mays Landing; two daughters, Lynda M. Christian of Atlantic City and Lorie M. Davenport (Clarence); daughter-in-law, Brenda Allmond of Egg Harbor Township; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends of Detroit and NJ. Friends may call Friday, March 24, 2006 from 10:30 until 11a.m. at Union Baptist Temple, 1040 Adriatic Avenue, Atlantic City. A funeral service will follow at 11a.m. at the Union Baptist Temple. Interment will be Friday in Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements made by Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes.
