Mr. Allen was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Long Point, to Claude and Oma (Wolff) Allen. He married Frances E. Dzuryo on June 4, 1946, at St. Stephen's Church. She died March 27, 2001.
He was born and raised in Long Point and attended Streator High School. He worked for Streator Brick Systems as a supervisor of production for 37 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's School and a member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council #790.
He is survived by a daughter: Debra (Edward) Stash of Ottawa; sons: Ronald (Jill) Allen of North Richland Hills, Texas; Brian Allen and Bruce Allen of Streator; grandchildren: Craig, Doug, David and Stephanie Allen, Jeff and Krista Vezain, and Audrina Clark; a sister: Jean (Tom) Kimes of Streator; and a brother: Willis Allen of Ottawa; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters: Helen Cassidy, Faye Cox and Mary Lou Gragson.
