Elva K. Acton, of Loganville, passed away at the age of 90 years 11 months 19 days, on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Our House Assisted Living in Reedsburg. She was born on March 4, 1923, in the Township of Reedsburg, Sauk County, the daughter of Walter and Agnes (Harms) Klitzke Sr.

Elva was employed for many years at the Sauk County Health Care Center. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, reading and playing cards. Elva also has a musical talent playing a mouth organ which was given to be by her father when she was only six years old. When she was about ten years old, she and Oscar Baumgarten entered a WLS radio talent show and they came in second place. Even at her 90th birthday, she entertained with a rendition of Red Wing.

Elva was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville where she was active in the women's organization, bible studies, tying quilts and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Jeff Tomberlin officiating.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg.
