She graduated from Menominee High School.
On January 24, 1957 she married Donald V. Ahlberg in Menominee, MI. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1999.
Elaine was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and RWM Ladies, was a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed sewing, crafts, board games, crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from the Whispering Oaks Care Center, as activities director, in 1990.
Survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law:
Patrick; Michael (Cindy) of Peshtigo, WI and Timothy of Iron Mt., Michigan;
three daughters & sons-in-law: Colleen (Bruce) Hilbert of Peshtigo, WI; Kathleen (Michael) Roach of Menominee, MI and Maureen (Brad) Mech of Peshtigo, WI:
a step-daughter & special friend, Karen White & husband David;
One sister, Ethel Dionne
and One sister-in-law, Diane Yanke;
Grandchildren: Audra, Angela, Michael, Derek, Kyle, Brianna, Caitlin, Joseph, Alicia, Haley, Bradley, Bryant, Christine and Bethany.
And other family members: the Hazel Peterson & family;
maternal Aunt & Uncle Helen (nee Deschaine) & Allen Bergoust
& her seven brothers and sisters;
& many nieces & nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her father Arnold Hansen; one brother Everette Hansen, and other family members,
her maternal Uncle Clarence Deschaine and Aunt Edith Deschaine, & Bud Peterson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 30, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church (4009 Irving St. Marinette) from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Michael Paholke will be officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
