Sadie M. (Puopolo) Bell, of South Yarmouth, formerly of Avon , passed away Nov. 12, at the age of 89. She was the loving daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Mangino) Popolo. Sadie was a graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1941. She was a resident of Avon for over 60 years and most recently, a resident of South Yarmouth for 20 years. Sadie was a WW II US Army Veteran and worked as a nurse at the Brockton VA for over 30 years. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Michaels Church in Avon and St. Pius X in S. Yarmouth, an active US Womens Army Corp Veteran, and a dedicated and loving caregiver to her mother. Sadie was a very outgoing and vibrant woman who loved dancing and her large family gatherings. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Bell. Devoted sister of Arthur J. Puopolo of Boston and the late Serafina Popolo, Rocco Popolo, Grace Pecci, Carmela Gaul, Susie Chiocca, Rose Rodricks, Elizabeth Voci, Frances Siravo, and Frank Puopolo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michaels Church, Avon, Saturday at 9 a.m.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 8 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph. Interment St. Michaels Cemetery, Avon. Late US Army Veteran.
