NEVILL Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the George Van Natta Funeral Home, Herrin, for Bertha Nevill, 73, of 1314 N. Park Ave., Herrin. The Rev. Nicholas Daniels will officiate. Burial will be in the Herrin City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nevill died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday in Herrin Hospital. She had been ill for some time. She was born Jan. 16, 1899, in Somerset, Ky., the daughter of Walter and Margaret Hanes.
Her husband, William, died Nov. 1, 1970, she was also preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
