Rich attended LaSalle Academy in Providence, and later graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He resided in Johnston, RI and Lincoln, NH and was a long time resident of Warwick, RI.
He is survived by his sons, Craig and Mark, his two daughters in law, Erica and Jen, and his two grandchildren, Payton and Egan. He is also survived by three sisters and a brother. Rich was retired from Precision Industries, and throughout his career worked at Amtrol Inc., and Avon Corp.
An avid skier and golfer, he could most often be found at the top on Loon Mountain, or on the golf course. Rich also had a passion for traveling, flying small planes, sailing, music and organization. Rich will be greatly missed by his large extended family, as well as his wonderful network of friends and colleagues. The Gourmet Club, the Leftovers, and the Desserts will especially miss his laughter, and adventurous spirit.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 10 AM for family and friends, at St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick, RI. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Team John Seymour, c/o RIMS Society, or the American Cancer Society in Richard 's name.
