On Saturday, July 26, 2014, we lost our beloved son, brother and friend, Ryan La Salle, who died suddenly at age 28. Ryan was a caring and talented man with a creative and generous spirit. He demonstrated his remarkable physical abilities on longboard and snowboard. He excelled in drawing and in the design of jewelry. He loved music and was a natural actor and unparalleled imitator. His sense of humor, his love of life, his smile and kindness have marked all those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves a great void in our lives but we know he is in peace and is now watching over us all, especially looking out for his sister Annie whom he adored.

He is survived by his mother Robin Sasser, his sister Anne-Marie La Salle of Conway, South Carolina; his father Dominique La Salle of Gatineau, QC, his grandfather Robert Marlowe of Charleston, SC, his uncle Charles Sasser (Malinda); and La Salle's aunts and uncles in Canada, Jean Louise, Raymonde, Leo, Michel, Christiane, Marie-Andrée, and Veronique; and many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Helen Sasser; his paternal grandparents Dr. Gérald La Salle and Jeanne Ménard; and his special feline friend, Sassy.

In celebration of Ryan's life please make a donation to the Waccamaw Youth Center, P.O. Box 3293, Conway, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2014, Goldfinch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kyle Randle will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
