Leaving behind seven children, 22 Grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.He served with the Army Engineers in Alaska for 1 1/2 years, building the Al-Can Highway and with the U.S. 1888 Airborn Engineers in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations for 2 1/2 years. After the war, he followed in his father's footsteps in the Linotype business, eventually owning and operating the Eclipse Typesetting Company. He was an outstanding man, level-headed and of a high moral character. He had a ready wit, and the sparkle in his blue eyes disarmed young and old. He will be greatly missed.
