Johnie Borland 57, custodian for the Chicago Great Western Railroad, and a lifetime resident of Oelwein, died Sunday, Aug. 27, at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein.
Services are pending at the East Side Church of Christ. Lynn Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brant Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include his wife, Eva, two daughters, Cynthia, Daventport; Mrs. Arlen (Janice) Foster, Eldon; three sisters, Mable Borland, Mrs. Arnold (Nancy) Lauck, both of Oelwein; Mrs. Earl (Inez) Parsons, Galesburg, Ill.; four brothers, Howard, Dundee; Harry, Albuquerque, N.N,; Marlon, Madison, Wis.: and Hardy, Bellevue, Wis,; four grandchildren and a fourth sister, Erma I., deceased.
