William "Bill" Henry Brooks, age 82 of Rossville, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was of the Baptist Faith. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army & the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from Universal Towing & Recovery in 2011 after more than 18 yrs. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather, who will be missed greatly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Brooks and Jessie Grimes Johnson; and brother-in-law, Willard Ford.
He is survived by his children, Gene (Lisa) Brooks, Dean (Cindy) Brooks, Tim Brooks, Beverly Brooks, Billy Brooks, and Jerry (Christen) Brooks; sister, Helen Revels; grandchildren, Skylar, Amanda, Jesse, and Ruth Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Leeroy Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Tyner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the funeral time on Wednesday.
