John Clifford Foote was the son of James and Almira [Shaw] Foote of Chegoggin, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He immigrated to Massachusetts about 1885/6. He was living in Danvers when he was Naturalized 18 Oct 1892. He married Annabella 'Annie' A Ransom of Annapolis, Nova Scotia, 2 Nov 1892. Daughter of Henry & Saphronia [Bent] Ransom. They had two daughters in MA. One, Edna F, died 1915 at age 20. The other was Helen Madeline [Foote] French 1898-1927, age 29. His second wife was Edith S [Lord] Eaton and they lived on Elliott St. in Danvers. He died at home on Christmas eve age 82 widower.
