Columbia - Funeral service for Maurine Womble Huey, 83, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the Mausoleum Chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Huey, widow of George Edwin Huey, died November 25, 2009. Born March 24, 1926, in Florence, Ala., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hester McKelvey Womble. She was a member of Shandon Baptist Church and a wonderful homemaker, mother and wife.
Surviving are her sons, Jim Huey, Williamston, N.C., Tom Huey, Ellijay, Ga.; grandchildren, Megan Johnson, Jonathan Huey; sister, Earline Hall, Syracuse, N.Y.
