FROSTBURG- Anna Marie Rankin, 85, of Frostburg passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late William Elmer Weslow and Anna May (Deal) Weslow.
She is preceded in death by her husband John William Rankin, Sr., brothers, Leroy Weslow and William F. Weslow.
Anna was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and worked for a time at the Michael Berkowitz Factory.
She was devoted to her family. Anna enjoyed working in her flower gardens and she loved to decorate her house for the different holidays. She is survived by her children, Gloria Petenbrink and husband Donnie of Grahamtown; John William Rankin, Jr. and wife Donna of Delaware; Debbie Fresh and husband Joseph of Cumberland. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Gerri L.Knowles, Donnie Petenbrink, Jimmy Petenbrink, John W. Rankin III, Tiffany Chambers, Vanessa Fresh, Danny Beal, Stephen Bridges, Troy Petenbrink, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren, sisters, Shirley Pryor, LaVerne Bridges, Carol Gomer, brothers, Harvey Weslow, and Stanley Weslow.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Schoemly officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
