Lois Katherine Larroux Terrio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the age of 79 in the presence of her family. A lifelong resident of Kenner, LA, she moved to Covington, LA in 2001 to spend her golden years. Lois ran the office at Terrio’s Plumbing and Heating, then worked in Oil and Gas at Graham Resources and upon retiring was a Walmart greeter. Beloved wife of the late Edward L. Terrio, Sr. for 25 years. Loving Mother of Edward L. Terrio, Jr. (Robin), Trudy Terrio Aucoin (Wayne), Linda Terrio Pizzitola (Dion) and the late David P. Terrio (Rebecca). Daughter of the late Pierre Larroux, Jr. and Gertrude Ollie Brooks Larroux. Sister of the late Mathilda “Tilla” L. Carmouche. Grandmother of Bridget T. Perkins (Matthew), Tanya T. Campbell (Brian), Tabatha Terrio, Melissa T. Ellinger (Carl), Tiffany L. Scallan, Adrienne A. Mizell (Justin), Darrell E. Terrio, Shelby L. Terrio, Laura E. Aucoin and Wayne J. Aucoin, Jr. And the late Jude J. Scallan. Great grandmother of Myah, Dylan, Jake, Ethan, Sierra, Bryce, Layna, Jayce, Aria and Gracee.
Lois was a down to earth, strong and self sufficient woman, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She never met a stranger and loved everyone unconditionally. She was a die hard Saints Fan. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she called her “babies”.
