Dolores "Dee" Rita Shipley, 82, long time resident of Warden, Washington, passed away October 25, 2012.

Dee was born to the late John and Mary Miller on May 22, 1930, in Colorado. Dee graduated from high school in Ouray County and then graduated from Loretta Heights Catholic girls' school in Denver.

She then married the late Theodore R. Shipley and moved to Bridgeport, Washington for a short time in the early 1950's with their first two children. The family then began a homestead in Warden in 1952 where they were blessed with two more children. She spent her younger years as a homemaker while raising the kids. In 1967, she decided enter into the workforce and took a secretarial position with Cunningham Insurance (later Irwin Insurance Agency). After giving over 20 years of service she retired in 1990.

Dee was a highly active member of the Queen of All Saints Catholic church where she was instrumental in initial construction of the church. She dedicated her life and spread her love for helping other in need. Her enjoyment of cooking and baking has touched the lives of many and was always greatly appreciated and will be missed.

Dee is survived by her four children: son John (Mary), daughter Reta, son David (Pamela), and daughter Theda (Jim). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961.

Holy Rosary will be prayed on October 31, 2012 at Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Warden immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial. A luncheon will directly follow in the fellowship hall.

Her memory will be in our hearts today, tomorrow, and always.
