Shreveport–Services for Mrs. Juanita Ruth Meador will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, in Rose-Neath's Memorial Street Chapel. The Rev. Dan Gardener, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Bob Renner, pastor of Huntington Park Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery on Stoner Avenue.
Mrs. Meador, a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, died Dec. 31, 1986, in Shreveport following a brief illness. she was a retired secretary of LSU Medical School and a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim C. Meador of Shreveport; her mother, Mrs. Ruth E. Rutledge of Shreveport; her daughter, Mrs. Marian Meador Doty of Bedford, Texas; her aunt, Mrs. Alma Day of Shreveport; her brother, Mr. Felix Rutledge of Shreveport; and two grandchildren, Deanna Michelle Doty and Kristin Kathleen Doty.
Pallbearers will be Herman Garner, Tommy Armstrong, Dale Thomas, Lloyd Doty, Mike Doty, and Wayne Jennings. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. C.E. Boyd, Dr. Frank Kurzweg and Dr. W.H. Schaefer.
