Kenneth Leroy Bragenzer, age 71, of Van Buren Township, MI, passed away Monday, June 27 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. He was born November 22, 1944 in Lima, Ohio, son of Chuck & Goldie May Bragenzer.
Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed working with his hands. He built houses, models, yard ornaments, swings and doll houses. He also enjoyed watching Nascar. Most of all, he loved his family.
Survived by his wife Carolyn Margaret (Hafler) Bragenzer, son Curt (Carla) Bragenzer of Belleville, MI, two daughters Jackie Pappas of Willis, MI and Dusty (Robert) McMullen of Belleville, 5 grandchildren; Cassandra, Clayton, Gracie, Dawson and Sammy Jo, two sisters Patty Courteau of Taylor, MI and Rosie (Mark) Todd of Wyandotte, MI, brother Dale (Marylou) Schellenberg of Ohio, also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John and Joe Bragenzer, also two sisters Ethel East and Bonnie Bragenzer.
Cremation rites have been accorded. The family is hosting a dinner/gathering Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the VFW Post #4434, 44170 Bemis Road, Belleville, MI 48111 from 5-9 PM with full Military Honor Guard at 6:30 PM.
